Ever since day one of becoming a website developer I have always had a personal website in one form or another, but its always taken the back seat and I’ve lost count how many of those sites have never gone live or even been finished.

However, over the last few months I have been working on some WordPress sites and playing catch up to understand how certain things have been implemented. So whilst I jumped in at the deep end to complete those tasks I needed to, I thought it would be best to go back to basics and start a site from scracth to ensure I understood everything which is why I now have this version of my personal website.

One of my original objectives when I first started this journey was creating an area to store useful code I knew I would need again in the future, or wanted to share with others because I thought it would be useful to others. And finally switching to WordPress gives me the opportunity to do this with great ease; as at least two previous imcomplete versions of my site had custom built admin/CMS areas to manage content.
